(PresseBox) (Stutensee, )
This milestone birthday has been a reason for Digitaltest GmbH to celebrate - together with numerous business partners. Digitaltest's annual user meeting was the perfect platform for having a look back at the establishment of the company in 1980, for assessing the present, and for sharing the vision of the future.

"It all started as a small consulting engineering firm, Dr. Grant Boctor established in Karlsruhe", Prof. em. Dr.-Ing. Görke (Dr. Boctors Tutor at University) remembered in his speech on this year's user meeting held at the Technik Museum in Sinsheim. Three decades have passed - time to look back on the roots of this key player in the market of board test systems and manufacturing software.

"Originating from very modest beginnings Digitaltest has well established itself and has become a major employer in our town. Building up stateoftheart know how for automated test solutions, Digitaltest today is one of the leading manufacturers of innovative measuring electronics systems" said Ute Boctor, President of Digitaltest. "Through close cooperation with applicationoriented research institutions Digitaltest has developed into a major supplier of automated test systems".

Grant Boctor started his business by writing functional test programs for BBC and incircuittest programs for Siemens in Karlsruhe, but very soon he started developing electronic test systems and manufacturing software. Since the early days of the firm, Digitaltest emphasized integrated total solutions, tailored to individual customer needs. The aim has always been to support the electronics manufacturing industry with leading edge hardware and software test solutions. In order to achieve this objective, Digitaltest committed itself to ongoing technology advances to perfect production and test of printed circuit boards in terms of today's complex test requirements. Digitaltest offers comprehensive additional support and service including outsourcing of PCB testing.

During the past years the company has been considerably improving its international reach by opening branch offices in the United States, Asia and various European countries.

After the premature death of Grant Boctor in 2005, company operations arecontinued by the founder's family and the longterm members of the staff to continuously serve its international customer base with high quality and reliable products and services.
