Als Gerhard Rupp die Umwelt App (UmweltERzähler), die alle bundesdeutschen Schadstoffmess -Stellen inklusive der Strahlenbelastung in eine interaktive App zusammenführt, im Mai iPhone Nutzer umsonst zur Verfügung stellte, überwog die Befürchtung, in der Flut der Apps unterzugehen und "nicht entdeckt" zu werden.

Doch weit gefehlt. Tausende an Downloads der UmweltERzähler App und das Erstellen von individuellen Profilen zeigen, dass auch ohne Präsenz in der Presse sich Qualität durchsetzt.

Auch Österreich ist jetzt mit der Analyse von Ozon- und Strahlungswerten in den UmweltERzähler integriert.
