Aquapal Safely and Reliably Transports Drinking Water

Combines compliance with the stringent requirements of the Drinking Water Directive with the advantages of a flexible rubber hose / First drinking water hose to pass all tests required / Approved for outdoor use

(PresseBox) (Hannover, )
Water is an essential ingredient in the brewing and beverage industry – not only as a constituent of drinks, but also for processing and cleaning. As water intended for human consumption, it is subject to the stringent guidelines of the European Drinking Water Directive. And the hoses transporting water for human consumption have to be approved for use with drinking water and labeled accordingly. As is the Aquapal, the robust and ultra flexible drinking water hose from ContiTech. For the most commonly used rated widths, this high-quality hose was the very first drinking water hose to qualify in all statutorily mandated tests for drinking water hoses.

As such, Aquapal has garnered approval in the German Federal Environment Agency's “Pipes” (previously “A”) category in accordance with the KTW (Kunststoffe und Trinkwasser – Plastics and Drinking Water) recommendation and in line with the Arbeitsblatt (technical rule) W 270 of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW). In addition, AquapaL® is the first drinking water hose to be awarded the mandatory DVGW type approval certificate DW-0309 BT 0079 in accordance with test specifications VP 549 for hoses for the short-term transport of drinking water. Moreover, Aquapal has passed all tests carried out in the UK on materials that come into contact with water for human consumption. The robust and highly flexible drinking water hose has been tested by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) and approved for the transportation of drinking water up to +85°C.

Guaranteed quality
The inner lining of the brand-name hose is homogeneous, smooth and free of plasticizers. In addition, it is absolutely odor- and taste-neutral, a property indispensable for drinking water applications. In addition, Aquapal tolerates all disinfecting agents, as per DVGW technical rule W 291. Its wear-resistant NBR cover, resistant to UV radiation, ozone and grease, ensures long service life, even under harsh conditions. Combining compliance with the tough requirements of the Drinking Water Directive and the advantages of a flexible rubber hose, the ContiTech hose carries a three-year warranty.
