At in-cosmetics Global 2026, the CHT Group introduces CHT-BeauSil® OPAC, a microplastic-free, natural opacifier based on rice bran wax, developed to deliver a creamy, dense, milk-white appearance across a wide range of personal care formulations.
Derived from a non-food side stream of rice production, CHT-BeauSil® OPAC supports modern sustainability expectations while offering excellent formulation stability, low viscosity, and broad compatibility. The ingredient can be easily incorporated at any stage below 50 °C without affecting viscosity, foam performance, or sensory properties.
In addition to its visual impact, the rice bran wax provides mild conditioning benefits for skin and hair, contributing to a soft, pleasant after-feel. A key advantage of CHT-BeauSil® OPAC is its robust performance across the formulation pH range, enabling consistent opacification without the need for pH-specific optimization.
Proven PEG-free emulsifier technology also on display
In addition to the new opacifier, CHT will again feature CHT-BeauSil® ECO 903, the company’s PEG-free, sugar-modified silicone emulsifier for W/O and W/Si emulsions. The emulsifier enables seamless replacement of PEG-containing silicones while delivering light textures, excellent stability, and enhanced pigment dispersion for skin care, sun care, color cosmetics, and hair care formulations.
