In an effort to advance sustainability and the circular economy within the sheet metal processing industry, and to support its customers and business partners in their drive towards energy and resource efficiency, the sheet metal processing technology leader Bystronic Group is hosting a new online event series: the Backstage Lab.

The circular economy reduces material use, rethinks materials to make them less resource intensive, and recaptures waste as a resource to manufacture new materials and products. It offers a business rationale that restores resilience and regenerates natural capital in light of the many climate, supply chain, and other sustainability-related issues industry is currently facing. Bystronic hopes to inspire and motivate its customers, supply chain partners, and even its competitors to implement future-oriented circular economy solutions, many of which are only possible on the basis of extensive collaboration.

- Keynote by Anders Breitholtz, circular economy and materials expert and CEO of his own company, PaperShell. Anders will talk about what the circular economy stands for and what we can do to actually make it happen.
- Johannes Brennig, responsible for product ecology and certification at König+Neurath, a Bystronic customer, presents the customer perspective and their circular economy journey.
- Michael Präger, Bystronic Sustainability and ESG Officer, presents measures that Bystronic is currently taking, with a call to co-create a business impact.
