Die takeMS International AG führt ab sofort auch Solid State Drives mit den Kapazitäten 32, 64 und 128 GB im Produktportfolio. Als Datenspeicher, mit zuverlässiger Performance, einem geringen Gewicht von 60-75 Gramm (abhängig von der Kapazität), minimalem Stromverbrauch und damit weniger Wärmeentwicklung, sind sie eine energieeffiziente Alternative zur herkömmlichen Festplatte. Mit einem Formfaktor von 2,5'' und 9,5 mm Höhe eignen sich die robusten SSDs insbesondere für den Einsatz in Notebooks. Hierbei können sie erheblich zu einem längeren und leiseren Betrieb beitragen. Der Datenaustausch erfolgt mit bis zu 150 MB/s und einer Zugriffszeit von 0,2 ms via SATA II Standard. Der Stromverbrauch liegt im Ruhezustand bei ca. 160 mA und im Betriebsstatus bei ca. 400 mA. Die "Static Wear Leveling"-Technologie vermindert die Abnutzung der Flash-Chips. Ein Mini-USB-Anschluss ermöglicht auch den Einsatz als externer Datenspeicher.
