Switch Testing Device with Matching Actuators for Production and Laboratory

With its switch testing device DIGISWITCH model 5410 burster offers a high value and comfortable solution especially for testing switches and keypads according to valid DIN regulations 41635 and 41636. With its measuring rate of up to 5 tested units per second the device is particular suitable for online testing during switch production. Further it can be used for sample checks in the laboratory or at manual workstations. Not only switches can be tested for their quality but also all other mechanical parts that during assembly have to be checked by click effect for their solid jointing.

With the simultaneous capture of force, displacement and switch point, DIGISWITCH acquires the complete switch characteristic or haptics and evaluates the data with the help of specific attributes such as actuating force, restoring force, pretravel and return travel displacement. The results are shown on a large LCD display. By the setting of tolerance boxes OK/NOKevaluations can be transferred as switch signal to a PLC. Acquisition and evaluation of the switch characteristic are carried out directly in the instrument. Further it is also possible to transmit the complete measuring curve to a PC.

Fast work piece changes with varying switch characteristics are not a problem for DIGISWITCH. The 32 work piece related parameter sets can be selected via PLC or device menu. For various applications burster offers 3 different actuators, for force up to 150 N, velocity up to 400 mm/s or incremental displacement measurement with 0.5 µm resolution. All offered actuators feature their own control unit allowing an individual workflow and process programming.
