Brückner Group at Interplastica 2014
Forward-looking technologies for Russia's plastics and packaging industry [/b]
At Interplastica 2014 the members of the Brückner Group present cutting edge innovations for sophisticated applications in the plastics and packaging industries at their booth Forum, FB 46.
Brückner Maschinenbau: Film production lines with increased performance and reduced energy consumption
At Interplastica Brückner Maschinenbau will introduce lines for the manufacture of high-quality BOPP films which can achieve working speeds significantly higher than the previous 525 m/min. Therefore Brückner has developed a new, innovative platform with a new transport system in the transverse direction orienter (TDO), a new longitudinal stretching unit (MDO) with automatically adjustable contact rolls, an even more efficient water removal in the area of the chill roll and the newly designed high-speed winding unit.
BOPET lines by Brückner also operate at speeds of over 500 m/min. At Interplastica Brückner will show a number of new developments which will improve still further the film quality, the operating stability and efficiency of the line. For example a completely new automatic control system for the pinning of the film and a newly designed track system in the TDO for unparalleled stability during operations in the high-speed range.
In all lines, Brückner continues to optimise the possibilities for energy savings. The measures presented at Interplastica include technology in both, thermal and electrical respect:
- TDO heat recovery systems
- Direct drives with water cooled AC motors
- Regenerating energy for line drive systems
- Intelligent Line Management (ILM) including an energy monitor for measuring and analyzing the energy consumption of the film production process based on the international standard ISO 50001
Brückner Maschinenbau will also show new highlights in specialty film lines, such as PP multi-layer films (5, 7, 9 layers) and trend-setting shrink film lines with various working widths up to 6.2 m and speeds up to 250 m/min for the manufacture of trendy and added value labels, full body sleeves or tamper evident packaging.
Further presented at Interplastica: New developments in the R&D department:
- Extension to the existing laboratory line by inline coating (ILC) for BOPP and BOPET films, exploiting new fields of application
- Enhanced in-line measuring technology
- A second experimental platform in the form of a smaller laboratory line, in which the extrusion, casting and longitudinal stretching process stages will be represented
- Brückner's brand new "Innovation Test Centre" for verifying and validating new equipment developments on several testing devices such as high-speed clip and track test stands in production environment, testing facilities for new roll surfaces and test stands for basic research on simultaneous stretching systems
- Maximizing line output and film quality through upgrades
- Upgrade to 5-/7-layer film: enter new markets with higher margin, multi-layer film
- Intelligent Line Management (ILM): optimize processes in film manufacturing
- Comprehensive services for film stretching lines of any brand
- New generation of remote service tools: efficient troubleshooting and fast remote re-start of production
- Professional chain and clip refurbishment: save investment costs for new tools and equipment
- Plant and energy audits: identify potentials for improvement
