BRESSNER Technology GmbH, system integrator and value-added distributor, expands its portfolio with the new in-vehicle computing platform VPC-5640S from manufacturer AAEON Inc. To redefine the in-vehicle computing landscape, the fanless multi-PoE system integrates advanced features to meet the demands of modern transportation environments.

Power meets versatility

The VPC-5640S is optimized for use in vehicles and offers comprehensive equipment for demanding applications. With four PoE LAN ports operating at a speed of 2.5GbE, the system provides a reliable infrastructure for integrating energy-efficient peripheral cameras. These ports are supported by an additional LAN port compatible with Intel® I226-LM, also operating at 2.5GbE. Additionally, the VPC-5640S features DB-9 and DB-15 ports for RS-232/422/485, isolated CANBus, and an 8-bit digital I/O. The system's performance is driven by the 12th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor, ensuring impressive performance and efficiency. With dual DDR5 SODIMM slots supporting up to 64 GB of memory, the system offers seamless multitasking capabilities for various requirements.

Flexible storage options and enhanced connectivity

The VPC-5640S offers a wide range of storage options, including NVMe via its M.2 2280 M-Keyand 2.5-inch HDD for SATA at 6 Gbit/. This enables the development of applications requiring data storage and processing at the edge. Through connectivity with other components of the IoT ecosystem and support for Wi-Fi via an M.2 2230 E-Key, the system expands its networking capabilities. Furthermore, the VPC-5640S features two M.2 3052 B-Keys with dual SIM slots to allow for the simultaneous installation of two 5G modules. These features provide excellent edge-to-cloud capabilities. These comprehensive features make the VPC-5640S ideal for fleet management, particularly with integrated GPS, NEO-M9V and G-Sensor.

Unconditional performance readiness through military-grade durability and obustness

Designed for reliable performance even under the harshest conditions, the VPC-5640S features an impressive operating temperature range of -40°C to 70°C and a robust 9V to 36V DC input with circuit protection and ignition delay. These features ensure uninterrupted operation and protect critical data from environmental fluctuations and power outages. Additionally, MIL-STD-810H vibration and shock resistance, along with E-Mark certification, underscore the resilience of the VPC-5640S in demanding in-vehicle applications.
