BMG LABTECH is committed to young scientists

(PresseBox) (Ortenberg, )
For many years BMG LABTECH has supported young scientists with their participation in scientific competitions all over the world. We aim to help motivate students with the loan of one of our microplate readers or by offering training given by our applications experts.

Why we help?

The competitions give the students the opportunity to work together to design, build, test and measure a system of their own design. The international competitions connect young students from all over the world and enable those students to enhance their scientific and social skills. The teams work inside and outside the lab, creating projects that strive to create a positive contribution to their communities and the world. We highly believe in the next generation of scientists and know how important it is to protect our beautiful planet in the future.

Who we support?

This year BMG LABTECH supports five teams of young students with their participation in the competitions iGEM and BIOMOD. Both competitions are annual, worldwide competitions in the fields of synthetic and molecular biology.

The iGEM teams - University of Nottingham, the University of Manchester and the University of Oxford, UK are supplied with extensive training on their BMG LABTECH microplate readers by our applications experts. Our staff are always happy to help with settings and the analysis of the results.
The iGEM team, the University of Potsdam, Germany was supplied with a SPECTROstar Nano microplate reader and additional applications training.

The first ever Imperial College London BIOMOD team was supplied with the loan of a FLUOstar Omega microplate reader and additional applications training.

BMG LABTECH wishes all our supported teams, and all others, lots of fun and success with their participation!
