In the words of Sicherheitsnetzwerk München e.V.: “IT security is the basis for trust and acceptance in the networked, digital world.” The close cooperation among Bavarian IT-security firms and research institutions brings goals and visions to life.
The network organises events that allow the exchange and transfer of knowledge as well as technology fairs aimed at supporting the internal market and initiating cooperation. International conferences such as the “Munich Cybersecurity Conference” and events such as the “Tech Days Munich” further expand the circle for communication.
Current topics such as Secure Industry 4.0, Secure Smart Grids, Smart Data, Evaluation of Cyber Risks, and Crisis Management, Internet of Things are dealt jointly as part of research projects and working groups. The topic of IT security is also brought forward at a political level.
“Cooperating within this leading network means strength and results for IT security. I am extremely pleased to have been able to gain the members’ trust and to be elected to the board of the Munich Security Network. The election also signifies a mandate to shape and to represent the interests of not only larger, but also medium-sized member firms,” explains Philipp Spangenberg, CEO of BlueID.
