More power at Mostra Convegno

BITZER exhibits new CSVH3 semi-hermetic compact screw compressor at Mostra Convegno

(PresseBox) (Sindelfingen/Milan, )
From 18 to 21 March, long-standing compressor specialist BITZER is showcasing its most important 2014 innovations at Mostra Convegno in Milan. In its 80th year of existence, BITZER is exhibiting its CSVH3 range, which features improved performance and an integrated frequency inverter.

The CSVH3 series is a new development in the field of regulated speed compact screw compressors. BITZER has added two significantly more powerful larger models to its existing CSVH series. The CSVH37 compact screw compressor has a cooling capacity of 550 kW (+5/50 °C) and a displacement of up to 960 m3/h, while the larger CSVH38 possesses an impressive cooling capacity of 660 kW (+5/50 °C) and a displacement of up to 1,156 m3/h. To achieve these performance boosts BITZER has developed a new case. The series is based on the proven engineering of the CSH series and has a very wide range of applications, from liquid chillers to heat pumps. Volker Stamer, Director of Stationary Products, stresses that “the new CSVH3 compressor combines the proven advantages of the CSH series with the increased power of the BITZER inverter-driven compact screw compressor, thus offering customers a whole new array of potential applications.”
The new CSVH3 range couples its powerful performance with the tried-and-tested strengths of the CSVH compressor, for instance its space-saving design and high degree of operational security thanks to automatic application limit monitoring and the integrated frequency inverter. This is parametrised in the factory, thereby permitting maximum energy efficiency via its variable speed control. Additional advantages of the CSVH3 series are its ease of installation and the integrated frequency inverter’s soft start feature, which facilitates the steady increasing of the initial current with no voltage spikes.
With an ESEER of over 5, the CSVH3 sets new standards for air-cooled liquid chillers with dry expansion. These compact screw compressors are ideally suited to installations with high part load values and offer optimised ESEER, IPLV and SCOP figures for air-cooled liquid chillers with dry expansion.
Like the smaller CSVH2, the CSVH3 monitors its own application limits. If it exceeds these limits the BITZER compressor first gives a warning and then, if the overload continues, switches itself off. The compressor communicates via Modbus with the higher-level controls for the installation as a whole using the same system as the CSVH2. The CSVH3 series can also be combined with BITZER CSH and CSW compact screw compressors in one system, thus boosting their versatility under full or part load.
