Bicker Elektronik GmbH, Donauwoerth/Germany, presents the ATN100A3-W200U, a compact AC/DC plug-in power supply based on modern GaN (gallium nitride) semiconductor technology. The advanced design enables high power density with a small form factor and low heat generation. With up to 100 W of output power via USB-C, the PD plug-in power supply meets the highest requirements for safety, efficiency, and reliability. It is designed for use in industrial and medical applications and also meets the strict 2×MOPP safety requirements for patient-related systems.

International safety standards

The ATN100A3-W200U features reinforced 2×MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) isolation and an isolation voltage of 4000 VAC between input and output. Touch currents are less than 100 µA. It is certified according to the safety standards IEC/EN/ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 (Edition 3.2) and IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 (3rd edition), as well as for EMC compliance according to IEC60601-1-2 (Edition 4.1). The power supply thus meets the highest safety standards for worldwide use in medicine and industry.

Flexible USB-C power supply with PD 3.0 and QC 4.0+

The ATN100A3-W200U supports USB Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 4.0+ and delivers an output voltage of up to 20 V at a maximum of 5 A via its two USB outputs. Power profiles from 15 to 100 W are covered, enabling reliable and fast power supply for a variety of end devices. The stably regulated output voltage with very low ripple and noise ensures reliable operation even for sensitive devices.

Energy-efficient and flexible for worldwide use 

The highly efficient plug-in power supply meets the requirements of the CEC Level VI and ErP Stage 2 energy efficiency standards. GaN technology achieves high efficiency, reducing electricity costs and protecting the environment. The integrated wide-range input (100–240 VAC) and the interchangeable EU and UK plugs included in the scope of delivery enable direct use in international markets. The PD plug-in power supply is available immediately from stock. Bicker Elektronik provides a three-year warranty on the ATN100A3-W200U.

Advantages of GaN technology

Compared to conventional silicon components, GaN semiconductor technology enables higher switching frequencies and lower losses. This results in more compact dimensions, increased power density, and better energy efficiency. At the same time, heat generation is reduced, which extends service life and increases operational reliability.
