"Codialist", a spin-off of Berlin Heart GmbH, develops turnkey medical device software for embedded systems

(PresseBox) (Berlin, )
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Syscore GmbH, Codialist GmbH was spun off from Berlin Heart GmbH in April 2020 as a sister company. With its extensive know-how in the development and life cycle management of medical device software for all safety classes for the products of Berlin Heart, Codialist is now offering this service to other medical technology and diagnostic companies.

From their extensive experience, “Codialists” are well aware of the technical hurdles and normative challenges encountered when realizing complex innovations. This has allowed them to quickly develop a deep understanding of the broadest range of product requirements.

Their deliverables, which include embedded software, complex algorithms for control and diagnostics, and graphical user interfaces, can meet the stringent requirements of CE certification and FDA approval. Because the Codialists use qualified state-of-the-art tools that are highly automated, they are able to verify software and software changes in the shortest of times.

"We would like to share our knowledge, experience and passion with specialists who, like us, implement innovations in medical technology in order to sustainably improve people's lives," says Sven-René Friedel, Managing Director of CODIALIST GmbH.

With this calling, the Codialist experts developed the software for the new mobile driving unit EXCOR® Active for Berlin Heart GmbH. Among other things, this software regulates a safe pump functioning, monitors the electronic and mechanical components, and provides an intuitive user interface. The close coordination with project participants and a strong network have been crucial for the success of this project and will bring great advantages for future projects.
