In Hall A2 at Stand 254, visitors to the Munich trade fair center will be presented with, among other things, the new b maXX safe PLC safety controller in addition to the new generation of controllers, b maXX 5000.

Baumüller will be presenting the new modular drive system, the b maXX 5000. This rounds out the successful b maXX series. Its Connect Drive System enables drives to be efficiently and economically implemented. It is also the ideal extension of the current product range from Baumüller.
The b maXX-safePLC provides integrated safety
Another highlight at the Baumüller stand in Hall A2 will be the new b maXX-safePLC safety controller. This product can increase both system safety and productivity. The built-in diagnostic functions ensure early detection and resolution of manufacturing errors. This can in turn prevent an expensive stillstand.
The b maXX-safePLC safety control helps both increase safety and reduce complexity. This is because the complex wiring that was required up to now has been eliminated. This in turn reduces system costs and also minimizes the testing effort required. Integrated safety controllers enable units that are coupled multiple times to be dispensed with. The combination of standard and SIL 3 safety controls therefore not only reduces the complexity of the system or machine and ensures safe operation; it also offers machine operators a cost benefit compared to conventional solutions.
Real-time connection
EtherCAT unifies and links IT networks and the Internet with a fast real-time Ethernet solution for machine communication. This creates a continuous communication structure spanning all levels of the machine. ProMaster supports the EtherCAT communication structure. The integration of external devices into a system under the Baumüller master occurs based on the standard specified by the EtherCAT Technology Group and is thus trouble-free.
