Arvato Systems Becomes Consortium Partner at Factory-X

Digital ecosystem for factory equipment suppliers and operators

(PresseBox) (Gütersloh, )
  • Arvato Systems expands its position as a consortium partner in the Factory-X project
  • German government initiative to digitize the manufacturing industry
Speed of innovation and flexibility are essential in the industrial world. The primary goal of the Factory-X initiative, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, is to establish a digital ecosystem that enables collaborative and secure data exchange, thereby promoting the digital transformation of industry.

As an IT specialist for the manufacturing industry, Arvato Systems is now also taking on a substantive role as a full consortium partner within the joint project. Arvato Systems was already accepted into the circle of associated partners of the Factory-X consortium in 2024.

As part of the consortium partnership, Arvato Systems actively supports the further development of architecture, particularly the Manufacturing X-Port concepts. Information on the project's focus areas can be found on the Factory-X website.

Dr. Oliver Becker, Vice President responsible for the manufacturing industry at Arvato Systems, explains: “Factory-X creates the conditions for collaborative and sovereign data use across company boundaries. We are delighted to be part of this innovative project, which provides answers to the current and future challenges facing the industry.”

Factory-X is an initiative within the framework of Manufacturing-X. Behind Factory-X is an industry consortium of 47 project partners and ten associated partners under the leadership of SAP and Siemens. The project builds on the foundations of Catena-X and the principles of the industry 4.0 platform.
