Arvato Systems Becomes a Member of the German Broadband Communications Association BREKO e. V.

Fiber Suite - IT solution for efficiency and customer focus in the fiber optics industry

(PresseBox) (Gütersloh, Germany, )

  • Arvato Systems joins the German Broadband Communications Association (Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e. V.)
The Broadband Communications Association (BREKO) is the leading fiber optics association and represents the majority of German fixed-network providers. Arvato Systems joins the association with the aim of providing infrastructure owners and end-customer contract partners with tailored IT solutions to support the digitization of customer processes.

Together with Microsoft, Arvato Systems provides companies in the fiber optics industry with the 'Fiber Suite', a cloud-based software-as-a-service solution that enables customer-oriented, transparent as well as efficient management - for infrastructure owners and end-customer contract partners alike.

The modular structure of the 'Fiber Suite' and the market interfaces it provides enable any wholesale or wholebuy scenario up to open access, which means opening up existing fiber optic networks to other providers, with an end-to-end data model. The Microsoft technologies used provide a level of transparency across the process levels that was previously unknown in the telecommunications market, right through to improvements in productivity and customer orientation supported by Microsoft 365 Copilot.

BREKO Managing Director Dr. Stephan Albers welcomes Arvato Systems' membership: "Digitization in Germany can only succeed if we achieve nationwide fiber rollout. Open Access is a key driver, and the 'Fiber Suite' serves this in an exemplary manner."

The separation of market roles into providers and demanders (layer 2 bitstream interface) requires individual interfaces with the data model parameters matching the other side in each case. This is an important prerequisite for the practical implementation of Open Access.

Dirk Brinkmann, responsible for fiber products at Arvato Systems, confirms: "With the 'Fiber Suite' we provide the link between internal processes, market roles and market interfaces. In addition to limited construction capacity, the challenge of managing customers in a scalable way has been a limiting factor for fiber optic connections for a long time. With the 'Fiber Suite' we solve acute challenges. For companies, this means: grow as you want!".

The financial services provider Riverty, a sister company of Arvato Systems, also joined BREKO in October. With its Accounting as a Service product, Riverty supports broadband providers in scaling and takes over all the necessary accounts receivable processes, including dunning and collection, in a highly automated way. This enables companies to rely on error-free and at the same time customer-friendly processing of payment transactions and secure valuable customer relationships. riverty.com

In cooperation, Arvato Systems and Riverty offer broadband companies an end-to-end process chain that enables long-term and sustainable growth.

About BREKO
As the leading fiber optics association with over 470 member companies, the Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V. (BREKO) successfully promotes competition in the German telecommunications market. Its members are clearly committed to future-proof fiber optics and are responsible for 67 percent of the expansion of fiber optic connections in Germany. The more than 240 telecommunications network operators organized in the association supply both metropolitan areas and rural areas with future-proof fiber-optic connections. To this end, they have invested EUR 4 billion in 2022. For more information, visit brekoverband.de
