IPL stärkt Strategiekompetenz

Das IPL - "Institut für Produktions- und Logistiksysteme" in Saarbrücken erfährt zum 01. Februar 2014 eine weitere Verstärkung.

Als neuer Gesellschafter konnte der Executive Manager Thomas G. Klein gewonnen werden. Herr Klein wird künftig das Produktportfolio Managementberatung und Strategische Unternehmensentwicklung verantworten.

Thomas G. Klein verfügt über eine 29-jährige internationale Erfahrung in der Automobilindustrie. Herr Klein leitete die Produktionswerke Jaguar/Land Rover in Halewood, England und Ford in Saarlouis. Zu seinen Erfahrungen gehört eine Vielzahl von Produktneuanläufen für Ford, Jaguar, LandRover und VW. Neuaufbau und Umstrukturierung von Produktionswerken waren dabei seine Hauptaufgaben. So war er maßgeblich am Aufbau des VW Werkes im portugiesischen Palmela beteiligt sowie der Transformation und Umstrukturierung bei Jaguar in Halewood. Neben dem technischen Auf- und Umbau war er auch für die Organisationentwicklung und die Schulung von Personal verantwortlich. Unter ihm wurde die Lean Learning Academy bei Jaguar weiterentwickelt. Der Maschinenbauingenieur Klein startete seine Kariere bei Daimler-Benz in Sindelfingen. Thomas G. Klein ist 53 Jahre alt, verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder.
