Advantech’s DLT-V73 Series offers a choice of the processor between an Intel® Celeron®, which is robust for most end user applications, or a powerful Intel® Core™ i5 for more computing-intensive applications. Both platforms support multiple operating systems, including Windows 10/11 IoT and Linux, for flexible OS migration at any time. Just as with all the DLT series units, the DLT-V73 Series is designed to withstand the toughest environmental conditions, providing reliable operations in extreme environments such as a freezer warehouse, an outdoor container port, or an underground construction or mining site. The system is IP66-rated for protection from water and dust ingress, tested for shock & vibration resistance with 5M3, and supports a wide operating temperature range (-30 ~ 50 °C).
Featuring a 10.4"/12.1" XGA color TFT display and a compact system design, DLT-V73 is over 40% smaller in size which makes installation more flexible and increases driving safety. Both screen sizes are available with resistive or capacitive touch and use optical-bonding technology for enhanced clarity and viewability, greater durability, maximum dust and moisture protection, and accurate touch response. Equipped with the latest communication technologies, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 4G/LTE, and GPS, DLT-V73 ensures superior wireless communication for uninterrupted data transmission. To support a wider range of applications, DLT-V73 also features an AddOn Module to extend the I/O. Moreover, all DLT-V73 terminals are equipped with Advantech’s MSuite software bundle and certified for 3rd-party software (e.g., SOTI, Navis, and StayLinked) to further enhance device management and deployment.

To ensure the best wireless connectivity, DLT-V73 has a default WLAN antenna outside of the housing and can also use an external antenna when needed. The new WLAN driver, combined with a Wi-Fi 6 WLAN card, optimizes roaming performance for seamless data transmission between access points. Moreover, with the integrated NFC module, DLT-V73 further eases the login and admission control.
Increasing Efficiency with a Compact Design and Enhanced Touchscreen Functionality
Space in vehicle cabins is becoming increasingly cramped due to the addition of electronic devices and monitors. The size of DLT-V73 is 40% smaller compared to previous models. The compact housing design and excellent screen-to-body ratio make sure that the unit can be installed even in very compact vehicle cabins while still offering a large display without blocking the driver’s view. These features combine to provide both flexible installation and increased driving safety. Furthermore, the interface has 12 control keys that can be programmed as function keys to start and control programs.
All DLT-V73 Series devices feature optical bonding technology and an ambient light sensor. With optical bonding, the air gap between the touchscreen and the LCD is eliminated to reduce refraction and glare, increase durability against vandalism, improve touchscreen accuracy and prevent condensation. The integrated ambient light sensor, on the other hand, automatically adjusts the display brightness according to the ambient brightness. Moreover, Advantech’s DLT-V73 units are equipped with unique firmware that enables the PCT touchscreen to support nearly every type of glove, even the thickest freezer gloves, ensuring excellent performance under gloved operation.
In the near future, there will be a defrost function added to the DLT-V73 to support forklift operations between a room temperature area and a cold storage area.
Extendable Functionality with the AddOn Module & Value-Added Software
The DLT-V73 is equipped with common connection interfaces, including multiple USB-A, USB-C, and COM ports, to allow you to connect your existing scanners, printers, scales, etc. Every vertical and vehicle has different use cases and thus will have different needs for an I/O interface. The DLT-V73 series features an AddOn Module with a selection of additional I/O ports, including CAN FD, Digital I/O, 3rd LAN, 3rd USB, or 2nd COM ports. This interface extendibility allows the terminals to be easily customized to support specific application requirements.
DLT-V73 is equipped with MDevice, a configuration tool specially developed for the DLT-V73. MDevice grants extended admin control for settings such as startup, shutdown, I/O, and radio communication. It allows a detailed overview of the device and battery status. It also allows easy exporting and deployment from one device to another. The MSuite software bundle also contains MTouch, MBlank, MKeyboard, MWedge, and MPair for various device management.
Additionally, Advantech DLT-V73 series units are certified for various value-added third-party software, including the SOTI mobile device management solution, Navis N4, and the StayLinked terminal operating system.
