The solution has been developed because many companies need to attractively present their products in a number of different marketing channels (Web, mobile, POS, print). In the process, product data from various back-end systems must be sent directly to the output channels. Klaas Klaassen, Team Manager Java Consulting at Acando GmbH, describes the solution as follows: “This step allows companies to meet consumers’ rising demands to be provided with relevant information everywhere. The main concern for our customers is always to achieve a consistent customer experience, regardless of how or when a consumer accesses the product data.”
By integrating the Heiler Enterprise PIM and the FirstSpirit content management system, Acando provides a possibility to supply product data from one base to various output systems, without generating redundancies. The solution ensures that updates take effect immediately and that modifications to the portfolio can be instantly accessed at all touch points. For Peter Ostrop, Member of Management Board at Acando GmbH, the integration of both systems also serves as an example: “The focus is on flexible architectures that will successively replace the static presentation of content.”
For the technical integration, Acando relies on standardized interfaces, which send changes in product information in the Heiler Enterprise PIM directly to the various channels, such as Web sites and apps, via the FirstSpirit CMS. The solution will be presented live at CeBIT.
