ST Extruded Products Group (STEP-G)

ST Extruded Products Group, kurz STEP-G, ist einer der weltweit führenden Hersteller von Aluminium Strangpressprofilen. Mit Produktionsstätten in Deutschland, Belgien und China ist STEP-G multinational aufgestellt. Die drei deutschen Presswerke in Bitterfeld, Bonn und Vogt sind hochspezialisiert und bieten ein umfangreiches Programm an Profilen und Stangen. Auf die innovative Qualität vertraut die Automobilindustrie ebenso wie deren direkte Zulieferer, die Luft- und Schienenfahrzeugindustrie, die Maschinenbaubranche, das Segment Elektrotechnik und der Sektor Bau. Abgerundet wird das Portfolio durch diverse Möglichkeiten zur Weiterverarbeitung bis hin zur Komponentenfertigung. Die Gießerei in Hettstedt mit einem umfangreichen Angebot auch an Speziallegierungen bietet unseren Kunden zudem Technologie- und Versorgungssicherheit aus einer Hand.

 

Von der Gründung bis heute

1915 wurde das erste deutsche Werk in Bitterfeld gegründet. Darauf folgten 1921 das Werk in Bonn, 1946 das belgische Werk in Duffel und 1952 eröffnete das Werk in Vogt. Im Jahr 2000 wurde das chinesische Werk in Tianjin in Betrieb genommen. Durch Aleris International Inc. wurden 2006 die Werke von Corus Aluminium erworben. Seit 1. März 2015 gehört die Aleris Aluminium-Extrusions-Sparte zu dem japanischen Unternehmen Sankyo Tateyama, Inc., einem Hersteller von Extrusions- und Gussprodukten. Im Jahr 2019 wurde die Gießerei in Hettstedt in den STEP-G Familienverbund aufgenommen.
