Die Scopeland Technology GmbH ist Hersteller der programmierfreien Softwareentwicklungsplattform SCOPELAND®, einer der führenden Low-Code-Plattform für die professionelle Anwendungsentwicklung auf dem deutschen Markt. Low-Code-Entwicklungsplattformen ermöglichen eine in Größenordnungen schnellere Entwicklung typischer Business-Anwendungen, und das mit deutlich niedrigerer Einstiegsschwelle für die Entwickler - daher das 'Low' in 'Low Code', was für niedrigschwellig steht. Folglich kann die Entwicklung von Fachanwendungen nicht nur durch hochqualifizierte Informatiker, sondern teilweise auch durch eingewiesene IT-affine Anwender ('Power User') erfolgen. Aus diesem Grund zählen Low-Code-Plattformen zu den Schlüsseltechnologien bei der weltweit fortschreitenden Digitalisierung.

Der US-Analyst Forrester Research prognostiziert Low-Code-Produkten ein jährliches Marktvolumen von mehr als 15 Milliarden Dollar, und das schon binnen weniger Jahre. SCOPELAND® gilt als eine der ersten Low-Code-Plattformen überhaupt und hat die dahinterliegende Theorie in den neunziger Jahren maßgeblich mitgeprägt. Der 'Erfinder' des Low-Code-Prinzips, Karsten Noack, ist heute Geschäftsführer und CTO des in Berlin und Bonn ansässigen Unternehmens.

Seit der Neuaufstellung im Jahre 2006 erlebt Scopeland Technology einen rasanten Aufstieg, und die Plattform SCOPELAND®, die inzwischen in der Version 7 vorliegt, ist mittlerweile bei vielen Großunternehmen und Behörden in mehr als 500 erfolgreich abgeschlossenen Projekten im Einsatz.
