Die ORCA Software GmbH wurde 1990 gegründet. Von Anfang an hat sich das Unternehmen auf die Entwicklung und den Vertrieb von Softwarelösungen für die Baubranche spezialisiert. Der Hauptsitz des Unternehmens ist in Neubeuern bei Rosenheim. Weitere Standorte befinden sich in Berlin, Grömitz, Leipzig, Bielefeld und Alzenau. Heute sind über 100 Mitarbeiter in den Bereichen Softwareentwicklung und Dokumentation, Vertrieb, Training, Support, Marketing, PR und Verwaltung beschäftigt.

Die Kernkompetenz des Unternehmens liegt in den Bereichen Ausschreibung, Vergabe, Abrechnung und Kostenmanagement von Bauleistungen. Dank innovativer Entwicklungen und hoher Kundenorientierung gehört die ORCA Software GmbH zu den Marktführern in der Branche. Intuitive Bedienbarkeit, optimaler Workflow und Flexibilität beim Datenaustausch zeichnen die Software von ORCA aus.

Seit dem Jahr 2002 ist die ORCA Software GmbH auch Betreiber des Bauportals AUSSCHREIBEN.DE. Auf diesem Portal veröffentlichen Bauprodukthersteller aktuelle Ausschreibungstexte ihrer Produkte, verknüpft mit vielen zusätzlichen, wertvollen Informationen. Architekten, Bauingenieure und Planer, aber auch ausführende Handwerker greifen auf die kostenfreien Texte zu, beispielsweise beim Erstellen von Ausschreibungen oder Angeboten. Die wachsenden Zahlen von Produktherstellern, Ausschreibungstexten, Zertifikaten, BIM-Daten und Besuchern auf AUSSCHREIBEN.DE sprechen für sich.
