K2D-KeyToData GmbH

Über 25 Jahre Erfahrung in der Softwarebranche

Bereits im Oktober 1993 gründete Jochen Layer, der heutige Geschäftsführer der K2D-KeyToData GmbH, mit zwei Partnern die CSC CADKEY Support Center GmbH, ein Support-Center für CADKEY Kunden in Europa. (CADKEY war das Vorgänger-CAD-System der 3D CAD-/CAM-Software KeyCreator.)

Da bei den Kunden der Bedarf weit über die Erbringung von technischem Support vorhanden war, wurde 1995 das Portfolio mit dem Vertrieb und der Beratung zu CAD Systemen erweitert. Parallel dazu erfolgte eine erste Umfirmierung in die CASE GmbH mit Jochen Layer als Geschäftsführer.

Die logische Erweiterung der Software-Produkte erfolgte 1998 mit der Aufnahme von Multi-CAD Viewing Software-Lösungen. Da bei den Kunden stets eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Engineering Software-Lösungen im Einsatz waren und immer wieder Fragen zur Lizenzausstattung und Lizenznutzung an uns herangetragen wurden, entschlossen wir uns 2007 zur Aufnahme der Lizenzmonitoring-Software License Statistics.

Zur Vervollständigung unseres Software-Portfolios fehlte uns nur noch ein Baustein: eine EMPB-Software, die unsere Kunden bei der Erstmusterprüfberichtserstellung unterstützt. Im Jahr 2010 haben wir mit InspectionXpert den richtigen Software-Partner zur Prüfplanung und EMPB-Erstellung gefunden.

2011 erfolgte die Umfirmierung zur K2D-KeyToData GmbH. Seit 2015 ist Jochen Layer alleiniger Gesellschafter und Geschäftsführer.

2013 haben wir die angebotene Lizenzmonitoring-Software durch die Lizenzmanagementsoftware OpenLM für CAD, CAM, CAE, BIM und PLM Anwendungen abgelöst.

2016 wurde KeyToData zum Master Reseller für die EMPB-Software InspectionXpert in Europa ernannt.

2019 Ablösung des CAD-Viewers KeyView durch die Viewing Lösung 3DViewStation von Kisters AG.

April 2023 Aufnahme des Qualitätsmanagementsystems 1factory in den Software-Vertrieb als Erweiterung und Ergänzung der EMPB Lösung Ideagen Quality Control (früher InspectionXpert)

Juli 2023 Rebranding von InspectionXpert zu Ideagen Quality Control
