Ingpuls GmbH

Die Ingpuls GmbH aus Bochum entwickelt und produziert kundenspezifische Legierungen und Komponenten aus Formgedächtnislegierungen (FGL). FGL sind metallische Werkstoffe, die sich nach einer scheinbar plastischen Verformung durch Erwärmung wieder an ihre Ursprungsgestalt ‚zurückerinnern‘ können, sobald sich die Temperatur entsprechend ändert.

Im Jahr 2009 als Spin-Off des Instituts für Werkstoffe der Ruhr-Universität Bochum entstanden, ist Ingpuls in mehreren Stufen vom Consultant zum Entwicklungsdienstleister und letztlich im Jahre 2016 zum Massenproduzenten aufgestiegen. Heute ist das Unternehmen weltweit technologisch führend und bekannt für seine ausgezeichnete Expertise in der Materialherstellung und -verarbeitung, sowie der applikationsspezifischen Mikrostrukturentwicklung. Durch seine umfassenden und stetig wachsenden Kompetenzen treibt das Unternehmen die Industrialisierung dieser innovativen Technologie national wie international maßgeblich voran. Bis heute wurden inzwischen mehrere Millionen Fahrzeuge eines deutschen Premiumherstellers mit FGL aus Bochum ausgestattet. Auch abseits der Automobilindustrie sind die Bochumer Hightech-Werkstoffe im Einsatz, z.B. in der Medizintechnik oder in der Luft- und Raumfahrt. Die ersten Satelliten, die FGL von Ingpuls nutzen, befinden sich bereits im Erdorbit. Zukünftig sollen dann auch viele Millionen Hausgeräte die innovative Technologie einsetzen können, um geräuschlos Stellaufgaben zu verrichten. Weitere Einsatzgebiete finden sich in den Märkten Industrie, Gebäudetechnik und Konsumelektronik.
