Die Biowert Industrie GmbH mit Sitz in Brensbach ist ein innovatives Unternehmen der Bioökonomie und ein Vorreiter der industriellen Kreislaufwirtschaft. Auf Basis von regionalem Wiesengras entwickelt und produziert Biowert nachhaltige Werkstoffe, die fossile Rohstoffe ersetzen und vollständig recyclingfähig sind. Kernprodukt ist der biobasierte Kunststoff AgriPlast, der aus Grasfasern und Recyclingkunststoffen hergestellt wird.

Herzstück des Unternehmens ist eine weltweit einmalige, patentierte Bioraffinerie-Technologie, mit der Gras zunächst zu Zellulose und anschließend zu hochwertigen Kunststoff-Compounds verarbeitet wird. Die bei der Fasergewinnung anfallenden organischen Reststoffe werden in der firmeneigenen Biogasanlage zur Erzeugung von Strom und Wärme genutzt. Die verbleibenden Gärprodukte werden als Dünger unter dem Namen AgriFer wieder auf die Wiesen ausgebracht – der Stoffkreislauf schließt sich.

Mit diesem ganzheitlichen Ansatz verbindet Biowert Ressourcenschonung, Klimaschutz und regionale Wertschöpfung. Produkte aus AgriPlast, wie etwa Kleiderbügel, sind bereits millionenfach im Einsatz und tragen zur Reduktion von CO₂-Emissionen und erdölbasierten Kunststoffen bei.Weitere Informationen unter www.biowert.com.
