Die Firma Biogastechnik Süd stellt seit 2002 ein breites Sortiment an Komponenten für Biogasanlagen her.Angefangen haben die Geschäftsführer Clemens und Gregor Maier 1999 mit einer eigenen Biogasanlage auf ihrem gemeinsam bewirtschafteten Hof. Unzufrieden mit der Leistung des Rührwerks, optimierten sie die Anlage mit einem eigenen Paddelrührwerk. Die hohe Effizienz des neuen Paddelrührwerks sprach sich schnell herum und schon bald verkauften Gregor und Clemens Maier ihr Paddelrührwerk Varibull deutschlandweit (mit nahezu 4.000 Stück, das meist verkaufte Paddelrührwerk).Gregor und Clemens Maier arbeiteten ständig daran, die Technik für Biogasanlagen weiter zu verbessern. In rascher Reihenfolge erfanden, entwickelten und konstruierten sie u. a. die Einbringtechnik Easyfeeder, den Pressschneckenseparator Sepogant, das Tauchrührwerk Varipeller und die für die Güllevergärung optimierte Container Kleinbiogasanlage.Mit der bisher wohl größten auf dem Heslerhof entwickelten Anlage, der Gärrestverdampfung Vapogant, möchten die Brüder Clemens und Gregor Maier Landwirten helfen, Kosten bei der Gärproduktelagerung und bei den Fahrten zur Ausbringung der Biogasprodukte auf das Feld zu sparen.Weiterer Nutzeffekt: Durch Umwandlung des leicht flüchtigen Ammoniaks in stabiles Ammoniumsulfat entsteht ein hochwertiger Mineraldünger.
