Die alfaview gmbh ist ein international agierendes Unternehmen mit Sitz in Karlsruhe. Das Unternehmen stellt die DSGVO-konforme Videokonferenzsoftware alfaview bereit, mit der mehrere hundert Personen gleichzeitig mit Video und Audio kommunizieren können. Im Zuschauermodus sind noch mehr Teilnehmer:innen möglich, sodass auch größere virtuelle oder hybride Veranstaltungen mit alfaview durchgeführt werden können. Durch eine feste virtuelle Raumstruktur, zahlreiche Funktionen für die virtuelle Zusammenarbeit sowie die hohen Sicherheitsstandards eignet sich alfaview als Kommunikationsplattform in vielen Bereichen und ist bereits seit über zehn Jahren erfolgreich im Einsatz.

alfaview legt ein besonderes Augenmerk auf den Datenschutz. Für die Bereitstellung der Software werden ausschließlich ISO 27001-zertifizierte Rechenzentren mit Unternehmenssitz in Deutschland genutzt. Die Video- und Audioströme sind nach aktuellen BSI-Richtlinien (TLS) verschlüsselt und werden nicht gespeichert. Die Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit zeichnete alfaview sowohl auf der rechtlichen als auch auf technischer Ebene mit durchgehend grünen Ampeln aus. Auch der Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg listet in seiner Orientierungshilfe alfaview als einen der wenigen datenschutzkonformen Videokonferenzanbieter.
