Aiways, Anbieter von individuellen Mobilitätslösungen aus Shanghai, wurde 2017 gegründet. Die Aiways Europazentrale befindet sich in München. Mit dem Aiways U5 SUV hat das Unternehmen im Jahr 2020 als erstes chinesisches Start-up einen batterie-elektrischen Personenwagen auf den europäischen Markt gebracht – ein SUV mit beeindruckender Reichweite, eigenständiger Erscheinung und hoher Produktqualität. Aiways setzt seine Expansion in Europa und darüber hinaus zügig fort: nach Deutschland, den Niederlanden, Belgien, Dänemark, Frankreich, Israel, der Schweiz, Spanien, Portugal, Italien, Schweden, Kroatien, den Färöern, Island und Slowenien. Der Aiways U5 SUV läuft in der eigenen hochautomatisierten Produktionsstätte in Shangrao vom Band – eine der modernsten Auto-Produktionsstätten in China. Die IT-gesteuerten Prozesse mit anspruchsvollen Quality Gates folgen den Standards der Industrie 4.0. Die jährliche Produktionskapazität von anfangs 150.000 Einheiten lässt sich mit zunehmender Marktnachfrage bis auf 300.000 Einheiten steigern. Das zweite Aiways Modell für den europäischen Markt, das batterie-elektrische U6 SUV-Coupé, gibt einen weiteren Ausblick auf die vielversprechende Zukunft der Marke. Der Fokus dieses Modells liegt auf ausgeklügelter Aerodynamik, hochvernetzter Antriebs- und Sicherheitstechnik sowie auf einem betont sportlichen Auftritt.
