Nicht nur die Europäische Bankenaufsicht warnte Verbraucher jüngst vor dem Gebrauch virtueller Währungen wie Bitcoin. Auch Hacker haben die bereits seit 2009 existierende Währung, mit der man beispielsweise beim Online-Versandhändler Amazon bezahlen kann inzwischen für sich entdeckt.

Das Research-Team der Zscaler ThreatLabZ listet in seinem aktuellen Blogpost eine Reihe von mehr als zwanzig verdächtigen Mustern für Phishing-Aktivitäten, die letztendlich dem Aufspüren von Bitcoin-Daten und -Werten dienen. So geschehen gerade erst in der vorigen Woche mittels einer Flash-Player Fake-/Malware. Offensichtlich ist die virtuelle Währung inzwischen so weit verbreitet, dass es für Scammer zunehmend profitabel geworden ist sie zum Ziel von Phishing-Attacken uj omoigy.
