Bereits zum achten Mal vergibt der Netzwerk Zenit e.V., der neben dem Land NRW und einem Bankenpool Gesellschafter des Zentrums für Innovation und Technik in NRW (Zenit GmbH) ist, seinen renommierten und mit 5.000 Euro dotierten Innovationspreis. Gefragt sind Kooperationen zwischen Unternehmen oder Unternehmen und einer Hochschule bzw. Forschungseinrichtung, in denen gemeinsam innovative Produkte oder Dienstleistungen entwickelt werden konnten. Teilnahmeberechtigt sind kleine und mittlere Unternehmen mit bis zu 500 Mitarbeitern und/oder Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen aus NRW. Zumindest einer der Kooperationspartner muss seinen Sitz im Land haben. Als Schirmherrn konnte das Netzwerk zum vierten Mal NRW-Wirtschaftsminister Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart gewinnen.
