W+P PRODUCTS komplettiert nun das USB 3.0 Programm und stellt weitere Varianten im Typ A, B und Micro USB vor. Bereits Anfang 2009 hat W+P PRODUCTS den ersten USB 3.0 Typ A Steckverbinder auf den Markt gebracht, kurz nachdem im November 2008 die Spezifikation zum neuen USB 3.0 Super Speed Standard vom USB Implementers Forum verabschiedet wurde.

Der USB 3.0 Standard bietet High-Speed-Datentransferraten von 4,8 Gbit/s und wird zunehmend häufiger als Schnittstelle in Massenspeichern, Druckern, Scannern, TV-Schnittstellen, Digitalkameras oder Notebooks, sowie in Bereichen industrieller Steuerung und Embedded Computing eingesetzt.
