The compact Revendo 7300 rounds off portfolio
Reverse vending machines ideally integrated
To round off its reverse vending machine portfolio, Wincor Nixdorf is presenting the Revendo 7300. This space-saving standalone reverse vending machine accepts and compacts cans and one-way PET bottles. An integrated, DPG-certified security feature reader ensures clearing-compatible balancing. Half-europallets ("Düsseldorf pallets", 80 cm x 60 cm) are used for disposal. The system also accepts refillable containers and collects them in StoreMax bins. The Revendo 7300 is the ideal solution for smaller stores that receive a large number of single containers. In addition, the Revendo 7300 offers all the advantages of a PC-based reverse vending solution: virtually unlimited data storage for shape and bar code data, simple remote maintenance as well as easy-to-perform database and software updates.
At Euroshop 2008, Wincor Nixdorf will be using practical examples to demonstrate the integration of its reverse vending machines in a store s IT landscape. The process of securely processing transaction receipts will be illustrated: empties receipts are automatically posted in the POS system and can only be redeemed once, which effectively reduces inventory discrepancies relating to empties. At the end of the day, a daily summary can be provided at the stroke of a key.
Intelligent couponing, i.e. the issuing of discount coupons depending on the amount of empties returned, is a significant additional benefit of in-store IT integration. This is possible due to the open, standards-based interface concept of the reverse vending machines, which enables continuous communication with the POS systems.
One of the most important areas of application is the central control and monitoring of reverse vending machines via the TPAdmin software. TPAdmin reduces total operating costs through flexible parameter control, campaign management and software distribution with central monitoring of processing states.
Proactive monitoring and maintenance of the RVMs via standardized CIM (Common Information Model) interfaces increase the reverse vending machines system availability. This enables the systems to perform monitoring functions independently. Software-controlled service agents undertake the task of reading and filtering the data collected via the CIM interface, and forwarding it to the eServices platform so that service processes can be initiated quickly in case of need.
Wincor Nixdorf is presenting its reverse vending solutions at Euroshop 2008 in Düsseldorf across 150 square meters of Hall 7a at Stand F07.
