Jürgen Wilde (60), member of the Board of Directors at Wincor Nixdorf AG and responsible for the retail segment, will relinquish his post for health reasons at the end of the Annual General Meeting on January 28, 2008. The company's Supervisory Board agreed to Mr. Wilde's request at its meeting on September 18, 2007. At the same time, the decision was made to reduce Wincor Nixdorf AG's Board of Directors from four members to three.

Jürgen Wilde's successor at the helm of Wincor Nixdorf’s international business with retail companies will be Dr. Herbert Machill (47), who has been in charge of Industry Line Services at T-Systems Enterprise Services GmbH to date. Dr. Machill will take up his new position at Wincor Nixdorf on October 1, 2007 as Senior Vice-President. In his function he will be a member of Wincor Nixdorf´s Executive Board which operates at the highest operational level of the Company.

“We are very pleased that, in Dr. Machill, we have found an IT industry expert who will enrich our management team with his experience in solutions and professional services,“ explained President and CEO Eckard Heidloff. At the same time, Eckard Heidloff praised Jürgen Wilde and thanked him for his services. “Jürgen Wilde has not only built up our retail business successfully but has also played a crucial part in shaping Wincor Nixdorf as a whole,” Heidloff said.

After completing a degree in mechanical engineering, Dr. Machill worked initially at the DaimlerChrysler Group in the fields of system development and business process organization and assumed his first managerial roles there. This was followed by management responsibilities at Debis Systemhaus IT-Services (later T-Systems International). In his last position at T-Systems as head of Industry Line Services, Dr. Machill was responsible for the ICT service and solution business for the retail, consumer goods, travel, and transport and logistics segments. In addition to his professional challenges, Herbert Machill completed a doctorate in engineering. He is married and has four children.
