Schon seit 2004 tragen Herr Dr. Robert U. Schmidt (promovierter Volkswirt) und Herr Simon M. Schmidt (Jurist) Verantwortung in der Walther Flender Gruppe. Ab dem 01. Januar 2006 übernehmen sie in dritter Generation nun offiziell die Geschäftsführung der Walther Flender - Antriebstechnik.

Für die Unternehmensbereiche Fördertechnik, Lager-, Spann- und Sintertechnik sowie Automotive wird Herr Dr. Robert Schmidt zum Geschäftsführer bestellt. Geschäftsführer für Technik und Vertrieb ist weiterhin Herr Dipl.-Ing. Michael Bosse, der diese Position seit Anfang diesen Jahres inne hat. Nach über 30 Jahren wird Herr Martin-Christian Schmidt zum 31.12.2007 seine Tätigkeit als Geschäftsführer Walther Flender Gruppe beenden.
