Der Bildverarbeitungsspezialist Vision Components stellt eine neu entwickelte Data-Matrix-Lesesoftware vor. Zusammen mit einer intelligenten Kamera gewährleistet der VC Smart Reader die schnelle und zuverlässige Identifizierung von 2D-Codes - je nach Kameramodell wird eine maximale Bildrate von 150 fps erreicht. Codeerkennung und Lesevorgang werden weder von der Größe und Form des Codes, seiner Drehlage (360°-Drehungen sind möglich) noch vom Hintergrund (dunkel auf hell oder hell auf dunkel) beeinträchtigt. Gespiegelte Codes werden zuverlässig erkannt und gelesen, ebenso spezielle Codetypen (z.B. "nailed" oder "dotted"). Auch bei verdeckten "L"-Ecken oder einem teilweise beschädigten "L"-Muster im Data-Matrix-Code ermöglicht der VC Smart Reader eine zuverlässige Erkennung.
