Virtual Instruments Joins the TM Forum

London, UK, (PresseBox) - Virtual Instruments, the leader in virtual infrastructure optimisation solutions, today announced its membership to the TM Forum, a global, non-profit industry association focused on simplifying the complexity of running a service provider's business.

Over the past 12 months, Virtual Instruments has seen rapid growth in its portfolio of telecoms and IT customers worldwide with top companies already deploying the VirtualWisdom infrastructure optimisation solution to gain increased visibility into their storage area networks (SANs) and virtualised IT infrastructure, particularly as they move business-critical applications to a private cloud computing environment. Joining the TM Forum will provide a gateway for Virtual Instruments to engage with TM Forum members.

TM Forum is a global, non-profit industry association focused on helping its members make the right business and software decisions effectively and efficiently through a library of best practices and standards developed for the industry, by the industry. TM Forum's membership spans the globe, representing 85% of global communications revenues, 90% of the world's communications subscribers, and more than 850 companies across 195 countries. The Forum's global view of the industry allows it to deliver pragmatic solutions for every business challenge that arises.

"We are pleased to welcome Virtual Instruments to the TM Forum," said Martin Creaner, president and CEO, TM Forum. "Whether it's introducing new services, rationalizing existing systems or transforming business operations, the Forum provides a unique, fair and safe environment for the entire value-chain to collaborate on pressing industry issues, helping companies of all sizes gain a competitive edge and the flexibility and speed they need to underpin future growth."

"The dramatic increase in the number of devices accessing the service provider network and the massive growth in stored data are driving many organisations towards virtualisation and new cloud computing models. This has increased the need for real-time visibility into the data center infrastructure to ensure the performance and availability of critical applications. By joining the TM Forum, we will raise awareness of the technologies currently available to give infrastructure managers greater control over their companies' data by achieving higher visibility across their storage networks," said Chris James, EMEA marketing director at Virtual Instruments.
