Auf einer Festveranstaltung anlässlich der 76. Internationalen Tagung LAND.TECHNIK in Leinfelden-Echterdingen bei Stuttgart wurden am 20. November 2018 Dipl.-Ing. Richard Heindl und Dipl.-Ing. Jürgen Hollstein je eine Max-Eyth-Gedenkmünze verliehen. Der Vorsitzende des VDIFachbereichs Max-Eyth-Gesellschaft Agrartechnik (VDI-MEG), Professor Peter Pickel, übereichte Heindl und Hollstein die Medaillen und die Urkunden und würdigte deren herausragende Leistungen in der Agrartechnikbranche.

Heindl wurde insbesondere für seine herausragenden Verdienste bei der Entwicklung neuer konstruktiver Lösungen für stufenlose Variogetriebe in Traktoren und selbstfahrenden Landmaschinen geehrt. Seine innovativen und visionären Ideen und Konzepte in den Bereichen Hydraulik und Steuerung stufenloser Antriebe, einschließlich permanentem Allradantrieb, und deren konsequente Umsetzung
