ICCTA-Mitglieder bekennen sich zu Responsible Care

Im Rahmen der diesjährigen Generalversammlung des Internationalen Rates der Chemie-handelsverbände (ICCTA) in Prag haben 12 Mitgliedsverbände ein Letter of Com-mitment zu den grundlegenden Leitlinien von Responsible Care unterzeichnet. Damit ver-pflichten sich diese Verbände - unter ihnen der deutsche Chemiehandelsverband VCH - insbesondere, bis 2009 ein Verfahren einzuführen, mit dem die Umsetzung des RC-Programms in den Unternehmen durch unabhängige Dritte überprüft wird.

Ebenfalls in der Generalversammlung wurde der chinesische Chemiehandelsverband CCCMC in die ICCTA aufgenommen. Schließlich wechselte in Prag das Präsidentenamt der ICCTA von dem Kanadier Steven LePoole zum Präsidenten des Europäischen Chemiehandelsverbandes FECC, Alan Looney. Gleichzeitig übernahm FECC für
