Professor Dr. Klaus Grewe, Geodät und Buchautor wird am 12. September 2014 für seine herausragenden wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten und Publikationen zur Erforschung römischer Aquädukte im Rahmen einer großen Festveranstaltung in Köln vom Verband Deutscher Vermessungsingenieure (VDV) mit dem GOLDENEN LOT ausgezeichnet.

Bekannt wurde Grewe durch zahlreiche Publikationen von Ausgrabungen und Vermessungen an verschiedenen römischen Wasserleitungen, von denen aktuell der Bildband "Aquädukte - Wasser für Roms Städte" einen empfehlenswerten und sehr anschaulichen Überblick über das hohe Niveau der römischen Ingenieurkunst gibt. Die ebenfalls von Grewe bearbeitete "Bibliographie zur Geschichte des Vermessungswesens" ist ein Standardwerk der Technikgeschichte. Die Forschungsarbeiten von Prof. Dr.
