Mikroelektronikindustrie braucht neue industriepolitische Strategie und Cybersicherheit

Ohne Mikroelektronik ist die Digitalisierung nicht denkbar. Drahtlos vernetzte Sensoren machen Industrie 4.0, smarte Gebäude und automatisiertes Fahren erst möglich - und sie kommen aus Deutschland oder anderen europäischen Ländern. "Deutschland hat damit das Potenzial, zum Weltmarktführer in der Digitalisierung zu werden", sagt Dr. Gunter Kegel, VDE-Präsident, auf dem VDE/ZVEI-Symposium Mikroelektronik zum Thema "Mikroelektronik für die digitale Zukunft" in Berlin. "Dafür brauchen wir eine neue deutsch-europäische Industrialisierungsstrategie, die Mikroelektronik über die gesamte Innovationskette hinweg systematisch fördert." Ohne wettbewerbsfähige Mikroelektronikindustrie steige die Abhängigkeit von Wettbewerbern, insbesondere aus Asien. Zum Importeur der Schlüsseltechnologie zu werden, wäre jedoch fatal für die Exportnation Deutschland.
