Ausstellung zu aktuellen Themen der Meeresforschung

Der gelbe Messpfahlnachbau des Instituts für Chemie und Biologie des Meeres (ICBM) der Universität Oldenburg, das ehemalige Wahrzeichen der "Stadt der Wissenschaft 2009", geht auf Reisen. Vom 1. Juli bis 14. September tourt die Messstation, die im Original im Watt vor Spiekeroog steht, durch Friesland und Ostfriesland. Die erste Station der Sommertour ist vom 1. bis 12. Juli Wilhelmshaven. Dort kann der Nachbau nahe dem Helgolandkai besichtigt werden. Unter dem Motto "Schaufenster Meeresforschung" informieren die WissenschaftlerInnen des ICBM über aktuelle Themen der Meeresforschung, wie z.B. über die Auswirkung des Klimawandels und den Anstieg des Meeresspiegels.
