Neue Impulse für Oldenburger Arbeitsgruppe in der Physik

Großer Erfolg für die Arbeitsgruppe "Ultraschnelle Nano-Optik" am Institut für Physik der Universität Oldenburg: Die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) wird ab 2009 das von Prof. Dr. Martin Aeschlimann (TU Kaiserslautern) koordinierte und von dem Oldenburger Physiker Prof. Dr. Christoph Lienau mitinitiierte Schwerpunktprogramm "Ultraschnelle Nano-Optik" fördern. "Zwei zukunftsträchtige und international stark beachtete Forschungsgebiete werden hier zum ersten Mal zusammengeführt: die Ultrakurzpulstechnologie und die Nanooptik", heißt es in der Begründung der DFG. Damit habe seine Arbeitsgruppe gute Chancen, dieses neue Forschungsfeld in Oldenburg nachhaltig zu etablieren, sagte Lienau.
