Der von Prof. Dr. Tiziana J. Chiusi, Privatdozent Dr. Dr. Thomas Gergen und Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Heike Jung herausgegebene Band umfasst auf 1287 Seiten Beiträge von über 60 Autorinnen und Autoren. Darin spiegeln sich auch die weiten Forschungsfelder des Jubilars wie die mittelalterliche Rechtsgeschichte, die Geschichte des geistigen Eigentums, der Rechtsvergleichung und der Einfluss des französischen Rechts in Deutschland. Die Festschrift erscheint als Band 139 der "Schriften zur Rechtsgeschichte" im Verlag Duncker & Humblot in Berlin.

Professor Dr. Elmar Wadle wurde 1938 in Pirmasens geboren.
