Fasern spielen zukünftig eine immer größere Rolle bei der Entwicklung von innovativen Produkten. Ihr Einsatz stößt unter anderem beim Airbus A 380, für die Beschleunigung des Datenverkehrs oder bei Funktionstextilien auf ein breites Medieninteresse. Zunehmend verstärkt sich ihr Einfluss aber auch auf Entwicklungen in der Medizintechnik. Am 28. Mai 2008 findet im Haus der Wissenschaft in Bremen ab 15:30 eine Veranstaltung zu dieser Thematik statt. Mit den Informationen über "Fasern in der Medizintechnik: Praxis und Vision" widmet sich das Netzwerk für Faserinnovation, FIB e.V. den Potenzialen von Fasern in diesem Bereich.
