Als Ko-Autor mehrerer großer Standardgrammatiken des Englischen ist Professor Geoffrey Leech jeder Anglistik-Studentin und jedem Anglistik-Studenten bekannt. Am 23. Juni 2010 referiert der Linguist von der Universität Lancaster (GB) im Interdisziplinären Linguistischen Kolloquium Augsburg (ILKA) zum Thema Decline and disappearance: the negative side of recent change in English".
