Gleichstellungspolitik wird an Universitäten und Hochschulen im Gefolge der forschungsorientierten Gleichstellungsstandards aller großen Wissenschaftsorganisationen immer wichtiger. Ein jetzt von der Augsburger Erziehungswissenschaftlerin Prof. Dr. Hildegard Macha und ihren Ko-Autorinnen, Stephanie Handschuh-Heiß, Marion Magg-Schwarzbäcker und Susanne Gruber bei Budrich publizierter Band mit dem Titel "Gleichstellung und Diversity an der Hochschule" dokumentiert am Beispiel der Universität Augsburg einen Gleichstellungsprozess, dem ein forschungsbasiertes theoretisches Konzept desGender Mainstreaming zugrundeliegt.

Dargelegt werden zunächst die theoretischen Grundlagen, die Konzeption und die Evaluation des Gender Mainstreaming-Prozesses. Über dessen konkrete Umsetzung in Form des Gender Mainstreaming-Projekts der Universität Augsburg geben dann Beiträge zu einzelnen Maßnahmen Auskunft, nämlich zur
