TÜViT zertifiziert das Chipkarten-Betriebssystem SECCOS von Gemplus

(Berlin) Als erster Anbieter für das Chipkarten-Betriebssystem SECCOS (SEcure Chip Card Operating System) erhielt Gemplus nicht nur die Zulassung des Zentralen Kreditausschusses (ZKA), sondern wurde auch erfolgreich gemäß den hohen Anforderungen des deutschen Signaturgesetzes (SigG) und der Signaturverordnung (SigV) geprüft.

Die sicherheitstechnische Evaluierung des Betriebssystems wurde nach dem internationalen Standard Common Criteria EAL 4+ von der Prüfstelle für IT-Sicherheit der TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH, Essen (TÜViT) durchgeführt. Das Common Criteria Zertifikat sowie die Bestätigung der Signaturgesetzkonformität wurden im Rahmen des Omnicard 2003 Kongresses in Berlin am 15. Januar von der Zertifizierungsstelle der TÜViT an Gemplus übergeben.
