Dank der neuen Enterprise-Festplatten mit jeweils 4 Terabyte Gesamtkapazität können jetzt auch RAID-Storage-Systeme ein Drittel mehr Kapazität erreichen und gleichzeitig 20 Prozent Energie sparen. Die vier Höheneinheiten (HE) großen Rackmount-Systeme mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 192 Terabyte und Fibre Channel- oder iSCSI-Host-Schnittstellen sind als einfaches Single-Controller-Storage-System für die Anwendungen als Datenarchiv geeignet. Die RAID-Storage-Systeme mit redundanten Dual-Controllern und 96 Terabyte Gesamtkapazität empfehlen sich als zentraler Massenspeicher in Fibre Channel- oder iSCSI-basierenden Storage-Area-Network-Umgebungen.

Ausgelegt für den Dauerbetrieb

Die 4-Terabyte-Festplatten sind bereits in den CALLEO Servern von transtec verfügbar und werden dort insbesondere bei Disk-Servern über Hardware-RAID-Controller betrieben. Die Festplatten nach dem SATA-3
