Zum Jahresende 2011 nutzen über 1,5 Millionen Menschen weltweit die LIVE Services von TomTom, zu denen auch TomTom HD Traffic gehört. TomTom verzeichnet ein kontinuierlich starkes Wachstum bei den Nutzerzahlen seiner Verkehrsinformationen; zu Beginn des Jahres waren es noch 690.000 aktive Anwender.

Derzeit werden in Europa über 90% der Produkte im Automotive-Segment und 20% der mobilen Navigationssysteme mit LIVE Services verkauft.

Die Qualität der TomTom Verkehrsinformationsdienste konnte in diesem Jahr weiter gesteigert werden. TomTom HD Traffic bietet jetzt noch genauere Verkehrsinformationen für das gesamte Straßennetz inklusive Nebenstraßen sowie Aus- und Zufahrten von Autobahnen, die von Wettbewerbsangeboten nicht erfasst
